Odong Patrick

Odong Patrick is a Senior Librarian at Kabale University in Uganda. He has taught in various institutions as a part-time lecturer; Kabale University teaching library & records management related courses, Uganda Christian University teaching Research Methods ICT related, IUIU teaching library and records courses.

Patrick is currently Ph.D. candidate of Information Science at Makerere University, holds a masters degree in Information Technology from Nkumba University, a Bachelors degree in Library & Information Science First Class from Uganda Christian University and Diploma in Library & Information Science from Kyambogo University. Patrick has trained in several short courses in relation to library & Records work and data management.

Patrick has got library working experience since 2009 to date; he has progressed through library ranks as an Assistant Librarian, Senior Assistant Librarian, Librarian at Uganda Christian University (UCU) and currently Senior Librarian Kabale University. He has worked both public and private sectors in the areas of the library, records and Information Technology. Patrick has also been an Eastern regional coordinator for Uganda library and Information Science Association (ULIA) from 2012 to 2017. As a Senior Librarian, Patrick is responsible of Technical library operation: Classifications and Cataloguing in both manual and Online Library systems at Kabale University Library Services.
